This week, two important and free health fairs are taking place in Mendocino County. These are great opportunities for families to bond while insuring a happy, healthy childhood for their loved ones. Saturday’s event is in Fort Bragg and Sunday’s fair will be in Ukiah. Details below:
Coastal: On Saturday, October 5, 2013, from 11-3pm Mendocino Coast District Hospital’s 7th annual Health and Wellness Festival invites all families to take part in the festivities. The focus of the day is to promote a healthier lifestyle for all age groups on the coast. The festival offers a variety of activities for families including Helicopter tours, ambulance tours, pet adoption, and a cooking demonstration from the Ravens head chef Gabrielle Tabor. The fair takes place at 700 River Drive in Fort Bragg. Both kids and adults are welcome to participate in the Noyo Run that will be held at 9am. Cholesterol testing begins at 8am.
Inland: On Sunday, October 6, 2013, from 11-3pm, over 500 families are expected to take advantage of the free 5th annual Children's Health Fair at the Alex Rorabaugh Center.
